You will become a participant in educational, theatrical and an eco-program in one of the most sacred places in Russia - Lake Baikal, where you meet people from different cities and countries, united by a desire for self-development and awareness.
Our goal is to create an international open-minded community ready to create cooperation around the world.

The interdisciplinary educational program
of the Festival

30 hours of practice and theory about contemporary dance, theater and filming under the supervision of an international team, meditation and body practices in places of power of Lake Baikal, excursions and walks on a fascinating island, various evening activities (watching underground films, discussions with the directors, dance jams) and also series of site-specific performances created in the natural landscape of Olkhon.

RADI SVETA is an international festival of contemporary theater,
dance and landscape art.
Our worldview is environmental friendliness. We want to be better than ever and make everything better around out of borders and social "games".

The values of our Festival are humanity, respect for others and for the world in which we live. We want to create for you the most comfortable space in which you can get a new level of human communication and trust.

Festival participants will explore contemporary performing practices, authorial body techniques, contemporary dance, video art and dance filming. The program is suitable for both beginners and professionals. Training will take place in comfortable groups according to the level of study.
For whom:
Begginer
You never danced and didn't participate in a performance, but you are interested in contemporary art and want to express yourself in creativity and get to know like-minded people from different countries.
In a spiritual path
You study yourself and psychology through various spiritual practices, such as yoga or qigong. You want to meditate on the shore of Lake Baikal, meet new creative people and get out of the box.
Actor, dancer, director, choreographer, designer
You are a creative person: dance, write, draw, filming videos and making photos. You breathe with contemporary art and want to develop yourself in this direction. You want to get new high-quality knowledge and practices with skilled curators, make effective networking and also take part in the creation of site-specific performances and short films.

What will be on your schedule?

You will practice at least 4 hours a day with a team of experienced masters, and after training you will enjoy meditation, chatting with new friends, searching for ideas and walking on the shore of Lake Baikal.
  • Morning workout with the body and mind
    Author's method «Play_Body_Mind» by the director, choreographer and energy practician Yaroslav Frantsev.

    The method is based on contemporary dance techniques, martial arts principles, traditional exercises aimed at healing the body (qigong), energy practices, voice meditation and the principle of the Game.
  • 2 hours of technical classes
    Contemporary dance by choreographer Olga Zhitluhina from Latvia.

    Dynamic Release Technique: work with different parts of the body, search for new capabilities of the body, work with breathing, body weight, different levels and dynamics of movement. Learning the principles of movement through relaxation, focus, not struggle, but flight. Learning combinations to secure everything you learned.
  • 2 hours performative techniques
    Master class "PlayGround" from actress Alla Abramova from Slovenia.

    Practices of physical theater, behavior on stage, interaction with a partner and space through the game. Performing acting practices and clowning.

Why Baikal?

Baikal is a place to which we relate with deep respect and trembling. Olkhon Island is a sacred place in which you feel in a special way.
This is a place where humanity and honesty before oneself are especially appreciated. This is the place for a deep "reboot". Our festival is a space in which a person can discard the patterns of familiar life, just simply be himself without "mask". About the residence:
  • Participants will be invited to settle in a wooden manor, made in the Russian style, in standard 2-bed and 3-bed rooms (optional) with shower and toilet, bed linen and towel, bed, wardrobe and table.

  • 24-hour reception is available for participants, common relaxation areas with internet, laundry with dryer.

  • In addition, guests can visit a wellness massage, a Russian banya with leafs and stones, ride a boat on the lake and take part in an excursion.

  • The wooden manor is located in close proximity to the shoreline of Lake Baikal. Some rooms are famous for their views of Lake Baikal and the famous Shaman Rock.

Yes! Participation is open to all comers. On the first day of registration on Festival, participants will be able to choose and be divided into two groups according to the level of training, in order to everyone have comfortable workout.
